About The Role

DUTIES:
The Cost Manager’s scope of work includes three principal areas Global Capital Projects (“GCP”), Site Capital Projects, and Site Capital Lead. To carry out the services of a Cost Management Services in relation to an Assurance Model, generally in-line, but not limited to the following activities:
 

•  Able to use their knowledge and experience to help others to establish credible cost reports for a range of construction projects (Full project lifecycle).

•  To have the ability to develop estimates and cost reports from concept and to develop through to the completion of the project.

•  Monitor progress and report against previously approved budgets. Can review, analyse, and identify corrective actions.

•  Review overall project status with the Project Cost Engineers and Project Managers.

•  Ensure that all planning and document control reports are prepared and timely issued in accordance with the Project Management / Project Controls Framework.

•  To provide oversight of Project Cost Engineers in the cost management of multiple projects, all with different scopes of work, and at different phases of delivery, simultaneously

•  To critically analyse and to identify the impact that commercial events and activities have on the Project budget.

•  Liaise with other Departments at all meetings relevant to project delivery gateways and ensure that cost reports are updated to reflect the latest information.

•  To work within a Change Management Environment

•  Advise and report the activities of the Project Cost Engineers in their productivity and the technical adequacy of their output.

•  Assesses the Site Capital Projects Service Provider monthly progress payment invoice with physical site assessment, review subcontractors trade billings and recommend payment valuation at intervals based on all direct, indirect, and other cost as may be included in the invoice.

•  Provide commercial cost management services where required to the wider change programme of which the construction project is a part.

•  To provide critical feedback to the GCP Project Controls Team in relation to the Project Management Framework including Mandatory Practices, Best Practices and Tool sets.

•  To lead the Project Controls assurance processes, specifically in relation to estimates and cost reports.

•  To help in the implementation of the Capital Projects Portfolio reporting system

•  To help in the implementation of risk management

 
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study, and ten (10) years of experience in a related position. Work Experience must have included: Experience with project controls and cost management; Experience with Risk assessment in construction projects; and Experience with either MS Projects or Primavera. Short term and extended travel to client worksites is required.
 
 
JOB SITE:

104 Carnegie Center, Suite 208, Princeton, NJ 08540. and various unanticipated locations. Remote work available (3 days in office or client site and 2 days remote).
