The role – what is it we would like you to do?
The Project Manager primary role is to manage projects throughout all project stages including feasibility, design, tender and construction stage.
This role requires experience in small-medium scale projects in private/public buildings and the tertiary buildings (hospitality, banks, residential experience preferred).
This is a full-time position, location in Paris, France.
As a Project Manager your core duties will involve:
- Undertake initial due diligence and technical advisory as part of project initial stage.
- Managing pre and post construction project phases
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders including, landlord, property manager, designers, contractors and building management and security consultants
- Identifying key issues, preparing risk register and suggesting mitigation measures to clients
- Working closely with Cost Managers/QS as needed
- Lead the coordination of the design against the client’s design guides and constraints.
- Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control.
- Conduct meetings with designers, contractors and client.
- Manage procurement and tendering activities
- Management and coordination of site activities.
- Check work progress status against project timeline and on budget.
- Manage de-snagging activities and project completion.
- Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction economics, or a related field.
- Both French and English advanced level is required
- At least 5 to 7 years' experience in project management, managing small-medium scale projects in private/public buildings and the tertiary buildings (hospitality, banks, residential experience preferred).
- Pre- and post-contract experience
- Has worked in consultancy, previous work for a contractor is a plus
- Experience in managing the permitting process and dealing with local jurisdiction.
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external).
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.
