About The Role

We are looking for a Trainee Healthcare Advisor to join our London office in the healthcare advisory team. The successful candidate can expect to be directly involved in:

  • Supporting the NHS in securing investment for major infrastructure programmes.
  • Working in partnership with clients and design teams to develop business cases and estate strategies.
  • Working with NHS teams who are driving innovation and transformation.
  • Experience using Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook desired. Database experience also useful.
  • Working as part of a team to deliver a diverse range of projects and programmes for NHS and other healthcare clients.

    The role will involve client-facing work and engagement, as well as collaborative working with other teams in Currie & Brown, including Risk, Sustainability and Project Management.

    Specific Requirements:  

    • Ability to produce high quality written content for inclusion in documents and presentations that are consistent with our branding guidance, is easy to read and concisely conveys the relevant information.
    • Quickly and accurately analyse large datasets and to prepare charts, tables or graphics to succinctly convey the relevant information.
    • Confidently handle numbers in the preparation of reports and business cases, for example, in compiling an economic appraisal.
    • Perform the cost-benefit analysis of proposed healthcare developments.
    • Evaluate potential investments using the Comprehensive Investment Appraisal Model to identify and monetise benefits and support economic appraisals in business cases.
    • Work effectively with clients and within multi-disciplinary teams, building strong relationships and communicating effectively.
    • Manage input from clients and advisors to support the production of strategic documents, such as business cases and estate strategies.
    • Understand and apply relevant guidance, including publications from HM Treasury, Department of Health & Social Care, NHS England, etc.

      General Job Requirements:

    • Contribute to delivering projects within the agreed resources.
    • Achieve deadlines and quality requirements and manage workload to work on multiple projects.
    • A good understanding of both macroeconomic and microeconomic principles and the ability to apply these to the healthcare sector.

    • Respond positively to the needs of colleagues.
    • Work flexibly to achieve the best outcomes from the wider team.
    • Contribute to team effort as well as individual tasks.

    • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm.
